Musings of an unhinged mind.

The honor of doing a portrait of a beloved animal is always one of my favorite types of commission works, and now and then one comes along that has so much personality that I find myself slowing down as I work on the portrait, savoring the unfolding of a unique being.

Chub truly is one of those individuals. At 28 years old, he sports a permanently fuzzy coat all year round now, with the kind eyes and refinement of the face of this Quarter Horse that tells of his gentle nature.

He leads a life of happy retirement now, much loved by the lady that has the joy of owning him.

It was a pleasure getting acquainted!
