Where is this strange path going?

Now and then the path in life takes a strange and unexpected turn.
After the first shock of all my shows being postponed, and realizing what total chaos the rescheduling will look like with possible overlaps, my life is now freed up to do some experimenting.
Perhaps a path unto itself.....a branch of my artwork with a different title and personality. Being well aware that artists are "supposed" to only do one or two different mediums to be taken seriously (who makes up these "rules?), I'm looking at a body of work that will have more color and artistic flights of fancy.
Look at it this way....I feel I'm holding back to suit some "standard" that I had no choice in making. I'm in my last years here on earth and in the art world and really am not too tied to what people think of my flights of fancy.
I will still follow what my oils, scratchboards and drawings want to do, but why not add a fun addition to the crowd?
So I will get a few pieces done and then introduce a new category that may find an audience....or not. But it will please me immensely.
I hope you all will join in the fun with a sense of playfulness....or if you prefer more traditional art, I will continue with that too!
"Racing the Wind" Oil
In one of my wilder, untamed moments I decided to race this speed demon across the desert without the aid of a road. Aiming a camera out the window, which resulted in photos of sky, truck interior and sagebrush...Pronghorn, not so much, but the sight was indelible in my mind. Did I mention I was driving my brand new, shiny Chev truck?
I knew he was going to cut in front of me to follow his herd, which he did, but we all maintained our fur and lived to play another day.
