With changing of the seasons comes a big change for me. I'm currently moving my studio, business, and household back to my house in Eastern Oregon.
From high country timber back to the desert, and a much smaller house has me wondering how a very prolific output of artwork is going to be stored. Artists are not capable of just not producing art. That is sorta like asking one to not breathe.
Much of my house is being taken over by art....2, possibly 3 bedrooms, dining room, downstairs hallway, and part of my little workshop are stacked with boxes of paintings, drawings, and scratchboards.
This isn't including all the art supplies, office stuff and workshop that keeps an artist happy.
My house has stood empty for the last 10 years and is in need of repairs. Along with being out of commission with some serious health problems for several years, I've also not been able to do hardly any shows. Needless to say, my income is in need of resuscitation.
The health issue is being turned around though, and I'm looking forward to getting back to business.
A few days ago I was juried into the national Women of the West group, which puts on some wonderful, prestigious shows across the country and is a great group of supportive women.
I'm excited to join them!
Now that I've taken you around the barn, it brings me to the idea that seems like the way to go with the art overflow situation.
I've decided to offer my overflow of work to you.
The Move 'Em Out sale!
These will be at reduced prices that I have never offered before, not only to find homes for the art but to put them into homes that will appreciate and love them.
Prices and sizes will vary over a wide range, but I'm contemplating sizes of anywhere from 5x7" to about 30x36" in mediums ranging from graphite pencil, colored pencil, oils, and scratchboard. Prices will also be anywhere from $75 to $3000, approximately. This is a much-reduced offering from my studio and show prices.
Updates on when the sale will start what will be offered will be posted here or you can sign up for my newsletter to have info about the sale delivered directly to you.
