Musings of an unhinged mind.

"Blue"

The ice blue eyes of this beautiful Border Collie pup are the focal point in this unusual pose in a Scratchboard Etching. Coupled with one of my custom finished frames, this commission piece is truly on of a kind.

I had a little blue eyed border collie, Broke my heart when she died.Don't share this with to many people, but thought you might like it St Patrick's day will
always be special to me.

Because I had a little Border
Collie pup born on this day
in 1993.

She was a special pup with
one eye of blue and and the
other of brown.

Some people may have looked
at her with a frown.

Why would you want a dog that's
all black with a head of white?

Because, I would say, I think she loves
me with all her might.

But there always comes a time when
we must say good bye to things that
we love with all our heart.

But I worry, because the bible says there are
no dogs in heaven, but still we must part.

So I say good bye with a tear in my eye and an ache
in my heart, and in my mind I say, I will
never forget Polly on St Patrick's day

Garold, thank you for sharing that lovely thought. They do have a way of becoming so dear to us, don't they? My beautiful Doberman, Bailey, died 4 years ago and I am still without another dog. Eventually she will be the subject of a book...and it will be a celebration for all the dog owners that hold them so close to our hearts.
