Far up the mountain, this wild Fire Weed glowed in the sunshine.

The photo I took of it kept calling me back for another look time after time until I finally decided to paint it, though I felt the subject might be really difficult.

I like the painting with it's soft flowers against the boldness of the rocks.....it was a wonderful learning experience. I hope you like it too.
